Printer
I got myself a new printer.
Having learned a think or 2 about printers/toner over the years, I opted for a laser over an inkjet.
Usually I print so little that whenever I do go to print something my inkjets are clogged/the ink has dried out.
Inconvenient to say the least!
I ordered myself a Pantum 2500W. (the W stands for wifi)
I’d never heard of the brand before, but there was a refurb available on Amazon for around 50% off normal and with next day delivery it felt like the right choice.
It also helps that it was designed to be used on wireless networks, so you can print with ease from any tablets, cell phones or other connected devices which is great for when I’m working on my tablet… so it was amusing to say the least to see a CD in the box with installation drivers on it. How many cell phones do you know of with a built in CD Drive? Heck, my desktop doesn’t even have a cd/dvd drive in it any more. What was actually helpful though was having the web address printed on the CD so you know where to go in order to get what you need.
It would have been a much more pleasant experience grabbing that driver if they didn’t throttle their website.
Honestly, The 126Mb file took an hour to download… but installed without issue. Yay!
On to the test page… I decided I’d print out a copy of my timesheet.
Well, that printer fed the paper so quickly and quietly that I thought it was just moving blank paper.
I was thrilled to see that my document actually printed!
