Long overdue update

I’m going to start the update by saying that I’ve finally got something worth updating.
I’ve been working for the last year and while I haven’t been innovating I’ve been putting money aside to give myself something of a working budget when I had the time to get back at it. I have to say, it will be nice not needing to completely rely on improvised parts this time around.

If what I’ve read is to be believed, the good people of the internet seem to have figured out the google sheet upload issue. In order to test this out I’ve picked up a new arduino that I’m hoping to use as the new brain for the Colonel as this one comes with integrated bluetooth, wifi and functionality for remote iot connectivity/control. This means I won’t need to network the 3v wifi machine to the 5v arduino any more. I should be able to do everything off this one box, and if not any extra processors (if required for the senpaks for example) will also be 5v arduinos.

Another fun upgrade on the new arduino is the built in LED array which I can use for sensor data and/or a rudimentary face for the Colonel. I’m still going to want to use the RGBW leds (and probablky an LCD) to supplement the info being given as you can only get so much out of an 8x12 array of red lights
