Something really interesting has happened. In response to my cry for help on the message board, I had 2 responses waiting for mewhen I woke up this morning. The first note mentioned that there is something of a pipe shortage in the city at the moment, which explains a lot. The second note suggested a shop in the other end of the city, which the author used when building their Community Garden.

What caught me off guard though was that the first person, who said there was a shortage, included his email address and asked me to write to him. Naturally, the first thing I did was start googling the company attached to the email address... nfn.farm

From what I've been trying to put together, this gentleman runs an urban farming business named Neighbours Feeding Neighbours out of a residential North York neighbourhood. According to the website, the farm will lease a home owner’s yard to grow produce for a season. :) That TOTALLY sounds like the kind of operation I'd love to get involved with! Well, after a little bit of a back and forth, I was invited to visit the farm, see how it runs and see if maybe I could use some of the spare parts they had leftover after building their garden.
I am so looking forward to this!
