First Crop and a New Case

Though the computer isn’t hooked up at the moment, the pump is connected to the downspout and I have my first batch of Mustard planted and growing in the garden. I’m currently taking measurements using my hand sensors and manually entering them as well as any other comments/observations into a new spreadsheet which serves as my grow log, Weekly Summaries of the grow log can be found under my Resources Tab

The Colonel is currently offline pending being installed in a protective case.
I’ve been modifying a small snazzy looking wooden box that I picked up at the Dollarstore.
I’ve drilled out over-sized holes in the back for the power and data cables.

I’ve also installed several circuit board standouts in order to keep the computers and circuits organized. The small square to the right of the Uno in the bottom of the box will be set up with 3.3Vpower, ground, and I2C communication rails, allowing easy access for any future components I want to add to the build. The Temperature/Humidity sensor will most likely connect through this small board as well.

I installed a board in the lid in an attempt to put the Node MCU’s wifi antenna at the highest point possible when the box is open. (Yes I’m aware its currently not positioned there) The mock up on the left also includes a display which I would also like to include in the build. Having a display would mean that I won’t need to connect the Colonel to my computer (or check the internet) in order to read my sensor data.

The board in the lid will also house the Clock/Calendar chip and the DAC (I’m pretty sure I still need a DAC for something…)
