Crop Update: Week 6

Bed A: :L Mustard

• All mustard plants are now on their sides - despite the yellowing leaves, the plants are starting to fill out/mature.

• I think that it is too early to tell is the fan is making a difference with the white blister

• Leaves continuing to yellow from margins.

• 1L of water was added twice, for a total of 2L water into the reservoir.
  

Bed B: Kratky Cooler

• Interestingly, the medium in 3/5cups is dry. I guess that means my floor isn’t level. From what I’ve read this shouldn’t be an issue as long as the roots have access to the solution. Still, I will add a little water to each of the dry cups… just in case as the dry cups don’t loos as healthy as the dry.

• All cups have at least 1 exposed root

Bed C: Kratky Mason Kohlrabi

• Starting to fill out. 3-4 true leaves per plant

• Some white blister present

Bed D: Kratky Mason Arugula

• Lost 1 arugula plant due to dehydration. The roots had not grown into the solution by the time the solution lost contact with the growing medium.

• Almost lost second plant to dehydration. After losing the first, I saw the growing medium was dry for both of the other plants, so I cheked them and was the one on the left had well developed roots, while the one in the middle had not fully developed down into the growing solution.
