Raking in the Snow

It takes a special kind of maniac to rake leaves in the falling snow.
That is precisely what the three of us were doing yesterday… and I’m thrilled to say that we were able to scoop up/dispose of every pile of leaves on the grounds.
Booyah!

I have to admit, it wasn’t bad… most of the leaves were so dry that they were like tissue paper, and it was cold enough that the light dusting of snow which was covering them wasn’t melting… dry leaves are significantly lighter than wet ones. and as such, we were tearing through the piles of leaves like nobody’s business. For some areas, it seemed like it took longer to drive the leaves to the dumpster than it did to pile them on the tarp used to drag them there..

I was hoping to be able to include a photo or two of yesterday’s shenanigans however the battery in my camera was dead.
